With this methodology we pretend to cover some of the basic skills that our students need to enhance in their ESL classes. Along four individual post, our students will work on: - Reading comprehension - Writing skills - Listening comprehension - Speaking skills We find necessary to comment that all activities have an introductory step in order to facilitate the students' learning process. Speaking practice: My food habits We are now our Topic Based Learning by offering a speaking practice to improve our students' oral skills. This time we want to encourage our students by asking them to record an audio in Padlet speaking about their food habits. As all activities we need to prepare our students for the final outcome.  1 - Introduction to the oral activity: We will speak about the different parts of a short oral creation to provide students with the basic skills to create an adequate audio. To improve our students reading skills can be motivating if we find topics that are connected to their personal lives and interests. Although some students might not feel like reading, we can engage students by offering them short texts rich in vocabulary and useful expressions that can be understandable by context.   As all reading comprehension activities we need to prepare a pre-work in order to facilitate students the correct guidelines to achieve the task objectives. For this reading, The Smiths' diet we suggest the following steps: 1 - Before the reading task:  A match up vocabulary task with Wordwall can be useful to warming up. Healthy recipe stickers: Eating healthy is a challenge nowadays, taking into consideration all the junk food around us.  This activity will not only boost our students' writing skills by sharing a healthy recipe of their choice with their mate but also, it will help them develop their critical thinking while learning about what foods are good to keep their mind and body on fire! Using the Topic Base Learning , this activity it is complementary with three other activities of the food block. It is fundamental to work in class the importance of keeping a balanced diet, mostly comprised by fresh fruits and vegetables, to avoid illnesses and obesity. It is a fact that the consumption of too much sugar and salt is not good for our health, and neither is to eat and drink to many french fries and soft drinks.  Needless to say that we should avoid fast-food!
